SWEAT is a faith-based not for profit organization and ministry of IBA that exists to aid communities and churches in impacting their communities.
SWEAT - Stands for Serving With Every Available Teenager:
SWEAT Ministries has a dream to see several teams of church workers, leaders and teens in the communities and all over on short-term mission projects to assist their communities with any needs, also the church or different groups in helping them bring individuals to salvation and to become more Christ like. SWEAT Ministries will accomplish this goal by following the call that Christ has set for them and functioning under four core values. Those values are: Family - we will give opportunities that will provide a team atmosphere where rejection will not exist and enable them to make a difference in others lives as well as their own. Community - We want to help bring about change by partnering with local churches and businesses to reach out in the name of the only one that can bring the change we all need, Jesus. Leadership - we will give opportunities that will teach people how to conduct themselves giving them life skills that they can take with them throughout their life. Service - We will provide opportunities for individuals to do something constructive with their time and energy by serving others.
SWEAT Ministries exists to get the love of Jesus Christ into the homes of every person we come in contact with. We rest on the fact that there is joy in ministering and serving for Christ. This shows in the things that we will offer but also in the people that participate. It's a very exciting ministry and there is something for everyone. Our hope is that you will want to be a part of all the excitement in reaching out to the communities in which we serve.
SWEAT is currently looking for a few more projects for 2010. We would love to bring a team of students and leaders, or maybe provide a mission-service opportunity for your own students. If you are interested or have a need and are looking for assistance in and around your church, or know of a family in your community that could use a hand-up please feel free to call Brent at (503) 421-1802, or email
